Quran Android 1.3

At the start of this week we released version 1.3 of Quran Android.
Checkout Ahmed El-Helw's earlier post.

- New graphics (Graphics added by Somaia Gaber)


- Arabic support for non-arabic devices.. (Added by Rehab Mohamed)

- New improved interface
* Tap on the right/left side to navigate to previous/next pages.
* Tap on the middle of the screen to display the seekbar, clock and bookmarker.
* Tap on the bookmarker to toggle the page's bookmark state.

- Download translations 
* You can select which translation to download.
* Currently French, German, Indonesian, Malay, Spanish, Turkish and Urdu are available.
- Altafseer Almuyassar is also available for download.
- Switch between downloaded translations for display and search.

- Search the active translation/tafseer via the search button (Also integrated with the Google search widget)

- Highly customized images for Galaxy tab and other 1024x768 devices
- bugfixes and more

Quran Android status:

- On March 3rd, 2011, number of downloads exceeded 50K.

Quran Android 1.2

And we are back !

This morning we have released version 1.2 of Quran Android.

New added features are:
- Sahih International Translation.
- Lock orientation to either landscape or portrait modes.


Navigation updates:
- Add a bookmark via Menu > Bookmarks > Add, rather than long tapping on screen.


Bug fixes:
- A fix for the bookmarks bug. (Thanks for all users who reported the bug, Jazakom Allah khayra)

In one of the busiest weeks in our life, Ahmed El-Helw and I, had to finalize our pending tasks on Quran Android, an open source Quran Application for Android devices.

We were on time ! And our first release was last night (أول ليلة في رمضان) before salat el fajer.

El Hamdulilah, over 130 downloads on SlideMe and 225 downloads on Android market in the first day of the release.

Quran Android, is in Mushaf El Maddinah format.
